Exacta Profit $1078 (POT 26.96%)
Trifecta Profit $402 (POT 3.35%)

So there it is - an interesting set of numbers.

Yesterday was a good example of how shopping for better prices would help the figures with 2 winners being just 10 cents under my price but I guess that's how it goes.

The future is the exacta at 26.96% POT - that's a great figure and one I'm hoping to do very well with. Even if it halves it's still very decent and worth working with. My plan will be to throw some money into my IAS account and take exactas and see what happens. Fingers crossed it works out, 200 is only a small sample - will it translate to long term profits? Wait and see I guess.

Next up, a month off - I need a break to get ready for next season so will be doing that. When I come back I won't be posting my ratings pre race anymore - nobody probably reads them anyway, and if they do they wouldn't bet on them BUT just in case, to protect my value, I won't be posting them. I'll keep posting here though, just so people can see how I'm going and I'll probably throw out a rating standout on the days I'm betting.

Soul Diva wasn't too bad yesterday - ran 10th beaten 2.4 lens but had no luck at all in the straight, bring on next start :)

The Ratings Challenge - Len cleaned up, Cabbie ran a very good second and I managed to hold onto 3rd but showing a loss. Was a great learning experience and showed that, with work and a consistent plan, money can be made on the punt.

Oh well, that's it for now - I could post a bit over the next month to update you on what's happening but 1 August will be the day, a new season and the new me - a new planned and disciplined approach to the punt - wish me luck :)

All the best
